Ngoko Preschool
In March 2018 Nomapuzi, the Montessori teacher of Mawotsheni, took us to her village; Ngoko, a part of Mapuzi. On 2016 a school was built by two Belgium guys. The building of the school and the spending of the money didn't run flawless. We found a building in decay and the community is desperate.
We run into Mr. Ngqobo, member of the schoolboard of the near Secondary school and Director of the board of the préschool to be. Together we make an assessment of all the needs for restauration and rebuilding. We open an account for those needs and conclude a contract with Mr. Ngqobo and the Chief. We introduced the local community to Montessori education and how we work. We also acquinted Cynthia and Uxolo, two local women who want to become a Montessori teacher in Ngoko.
Now in 2020 the building is recovered and the school is full with children under the passionate guidance of Nomapuzi, who returned to her birth village. Cynthia is in the new course of Montessori teachers. Mr. Ngqobo keeps us updated.
